Me as the LEGENDARY Joker at Toycon 2009

Thanks to these amazing people:

ARYT!!! for the people who wanna know how this was done:

HAIR is real but we had to cut it right and curl it first.
we applied gold wax, sprayed it with brown hair spray, then green. we were aiming for that dirty blond look heath ledger has.

The make-up is kind of a long and hard process.
using red lip liner, the scars are sketched onto my face. then we apply the WOOD GLUE (any kind will do), layer by layer, to get that realistic look of scars, some parts have to be thin so that some of the red pencil will show (wood glue is translucent when it dries). its best to have lots of references of the joker. the reference we used is the close up of yulli's maquette of heath ledger (HOT TOYS). Then i have to sleep with the glue on my face since we usually start the process at night. This is what i hate about it most coz i can hardly talk or eat. then we apply the basic colors, starting with with white face paint, we just cover my whole face. followed by black eyeliner and black face paint for the eyes. then, red lip liner and red facepaint for the lips. we carefully picked what kind of red to use. then the make-up artist puts on the rest of the details. DETAILS are so important but it is also important not to overdo it! again this is where the reference comes in handy. for this look we paused the movie at the scene where the joker meets the MOB for the very first time. Colors we used for details are yellow, red, and blue, just the primary colors and the make-up artist mixed them to get the flesh tones.... Lastly, the grainy and fading effect of the make-up was due to my perspiration, but as time goes by the make-up gets better and better.

I hope this helps! but seriously, its all about experimentation and a little creativity. The make- up was so good, it didnt matter that the rest of the costume was inaccurate.

This looks amazing.

If I could, would it be alright if I could do a portrait drawing of this picture?
